Your team is waiting for you to decide right now.
Even though it's Sunday. Even though it doesn't need to happen until Wednesday.
They're waiting because the company learned years ago: everything moves faster if you just ask the founder.
Next week looks exactly the same.
ONE LEADERSHIP TIP
The AI tools aren't the bottleneck. The founder still is.
Everyone's buying Copilots and Claude subscriptions and calling it transformation. Meanwhile the CEO is still the final sign-off on which tool the team uses, how it's configured, and what it's allowed to touch.
Your team can't upskill at speed when every workflow change requires your approval.
The fix isn't a better AI stack. It's deciding who owns AI adoption inside your company.
Assign it. Step back. Let them move.
ONE COMPANY WORTH WATCHING
By the time Synthesia hit $4B, someone had already done the ops work.
The decision architecture. The ownership layers. Who signs off on what, and who never needs to again.
That work didn't happen at $4B. It happened somewhere between Series A and the point where the product stopped being the only thing holding the company together.
That's the pattern. Great product. Real traction. AI-native from day one. And then headcount doubles, customer complexity spikes, and the founding team realises the operating system never scaled with the product.
The AI didn't create the problem. It just accelerated the timeline.
Companies like this don't need more tooling. They need someone to build the decision architecture underneath it, so the team can actually move at the speed the product allows.
That moment, between Series A and real scale, is where everything breaks.
It's also where I come in.
ONE THING TO ACT ON
Open your inbox or Slack. Find the last time someone asked you before using an AI tool, changing a prompt, or integrating a new workflow.
Ask yourself: did they actually need you? Or did they just not know if they were allowed?
Write three sentences today. What your team can decide on their own. What needs a conversation. What needs you.
Post it somewhere they'll see it by Monday.
That's not an AI strategy. That's leadership. The AI part takes care of itself.
